Jake Vaadeland is a self-taught, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Saskatchewan, Canada. He has a traditional sound and unique style that blends Bluegrass and 50s Rockability. He specializes in guitar and banjo. Jake focuses on storytelling and relatable messages in his music and performances with The Sturgeon River Boys. He has received multiple awards including Roots/Folk Artist of the Year and Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2022, Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Alternative Country Album of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards in 2022. His album Retro Man finished at #2 in fan voting for Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2021. Join us for a traditional Grand Ole Opry style show!
