Culture Day Event: Indian Traditional Dance Performances

Weyburn’s Indian Community will be performing a number of cultural dances for us to enjoy!
The Malayali people are a Dravidian ethnolinguistic group originating from the present-day Province of Kerala in India, occupying its southwestern Malabar coast. They are predominantly native speakers of the Malayalam language, one of the six Classical languages in India. It is estimated that over 97% of people from the province of Kerala are culturally Malayalee.
With Malayalee culture being around 5000 years old, they have a rich history to draw from.
